Canberra knows how to party

As of today, it is legal to possess 50 grams or less of cannabis in the ACT. It is also now legal for Canberrans to grow up to two cannabis plants per person (but no more than four in one household).

The laws aim to weed out the personal users from the Court system and lessen the financial burden of enforcing small scale possession offences.

 Queensland continues to prosecute persons caught in possession of cannabis despite an international trend towards relaxation of cannabis prohibition.

 Should Qld get high-minded about legalising it or is our system doing just fine?
